Jennefer Karady Exhibition,

It was really interesting to see her work in the University of Denver Gallery. What I thought was interesting is how she used photography to help treat soldiers in their post war problems. The size of the photographs and the attention to detail helped a lot in making her work more effective. The recreation of certain events that caused problems to the soldiers, but with daily objects that patients can see in their home cities. The picture that I thought was most interesting was, the picture of the solider sitting on a sidewalk and a garbage truck approaching where the solider, in this picture the soldier in the picture was terrified from the noise the truck makes because it remained him of a horrible personal war event.

Many events changed the way I see my life. One of the strongest was the suspicion of cancer and the related medical procedure I had, to get a correct diagnostic of my medical conditions. Since 2004 I was experiencing a sever discomfort in my abdomen, where in that same year a doctor diagnosed me with what he described as a normal stomach condition that can be treated with a better food and life style. In 2010 the problem got worse, therefore, I decided to see another doctor in Denver. The new doctor didn’t add more treatment plans he just made me go to his office every month for checks. During the 6th visit he told me that there is a big possibility of me having cancer in my digestive system. To confirm that a medical operation was the solution where he would take samples and check them in a lab. Fortunately, all of the samples tested for cancer came negative; it was only the condition that I was diagnosed with from the first doctor. This experience made me appreciate that fact that I wake up every day at home and it made me stop some daily habits.  

George Eastman is an American inventor born in 1885. He founded the Eastman Kodak Company and invented roll film, which helped bring photography to the public.

Dr. Maddox was an English physician who had an interest in photography. During his time wet collodain plates were used, where he noticed the process is affecting his health. He invented one of the most important inventions to photography which is gelatin dry plates.

Archer was born in  the UK remembered mainly for his achievement which increased the accessibility of photography for the general public. His achievement was the development of the wet collodion process which enables making detailed negatives.

Nadar was a writer, part-time political activist and a photographer from Paris. He is remembered as a photographer, for the portraits he made.

Julia is an English photographer known for her portraits of people. She was introduced to photography by her daughter when she was forty eight.
